Doesn’t every “hockey mom” have a $150,000 wardrobe budget?

I read this New York Times article during lunch today and it reall disturbed me. I often hear folks (even in Seattle!) saying that they want a politician (especially presidents and vice-presidents) who are “friendly and down-to-Earth” and whom they could see being friends with. This kind of excess in a time of financial crisis shows a complete lack of leadership or respect. Granted, so does not knowing how many houses you own.

    What the Hell? And spending $4 million on a 30 minute advertisement is fiscally responsible :)

    Neither is spending million of dollars for automated calling (“robo-calling”) that calls Obama a terrorist. McCain is using this campaign method 3 times more than Obama. CNN has the story. Both candidates have spent a significant amount to campaign and their are rules about what can and cannot be spent…
