Since November, Gian and I have had work or social commitments every weekend and most weeknights! It’s been hectic but fun. We had a great time on our trip and, last night, went to the wedding of Derek and Heidi, two friends of ours. Today is our first quiet night without anything to do. We were joking about how we missed South Seattle because, when we lived there, we NEVER went out and now on Capitol Hill we go out all the time. So, the rest of this weekend, we are taking it easy.

We also decided to purchase an espresso machine. We did a lot of research and settle on the Gaggia Classic. Manufactured in Italy since 1948, Gaggia has been producing the Classic Espresso Machine for several years and it is one of the most popular home machines in Italy (side note: how could you NOT buy an Italian-made espresso machine, come on, seriously). So, it should be here in a week. We’ll let you know how it works, maybe even post some of our barista-ing.
