Gian and a bunch of our friends ran the Rainier to Ruston trail relay this weekend. Part of the run went through Tacoma. I haven’t been in Tacoma for quite a while and it was actually really beautiful. You can check out pictures of our stop there, plus a bunch from the race. By the way, their team came in first for their division AND second overall!!!

I went to exchange a shirt at Express and they had socks on sale – plus I had a 1/2 off coupon, so I bought a few fun colors!

This was in our office this morning. We ALWAYS have sweets around. It’s evil and tempting. So hard to resist… maybe I’ll just eat one. They are baby cakes.

What beautiful weather we’ve been having! The street on which I live is in fool bloom. It’s so pleasant to walk home from work and see everything in bloom. But I worry that’s it going to get cold again and all the plants and trees will be shocked! Let’s hope it stays like this.

Such a tasty treat during my visit to New Orleans. I had these at Cafe Du Monde, this old French Market coffee shop. If you’re ever in NoLo, you have to stop there, grab a table, and enjoy these for breakfast.

So, I’ve had this blog since high school (quite a while ago) and I really wasn’t doing much with it. Instead, I’ve been taking a LOT of pictures and posting them on Flickr. So, I was contemplating taking the site down when I read this great article about transforming your blog into a photoblog. I know a few folks who have done this and I think it might be fun. It might also encourage me to take more random pictures. Anyway, here’s to giving it a shot. Let me know what you think.

Sorry I didn’t post these sooner. We had a VERY fun Halloween and a pretty hectic weekend. Last night, Gian and I went with a bunch of friends to see Seattle Opera’s production of Elektra, which was fantastic. Tonight, we’re going to the 5th Avenue to see “The Drowsey Chaperone” which is one of my favorite musical comedies! Then, tomorrow, I leave for a conference in Indianapolis. Luckily, I already voted (mail in ballots in Seattle, yah!). Make sure YOU vote!!!

The Marlborough, built in the 20′s as a luxury apartment building on First Hill, is being restored by the local developer Live Historic. Here is a picture of the building undergoing renovation. It looks so majestic!
